needing a change of scenery

recently i've been looking into moving to an apartment on the third floor of my building. i was told that there are only two people living in the apartment above that one and they have no kids, so it should be a quieter and more peaceful environment than the apartment i'm living in now. i went to go view the newly vacated apartment on the third floor and it is so much bigger than mine! also it is being offered at the same rent i'm paying now, so i would be silly not to take it.

the living room and bedroom are about twice the size of the ones i have now, which would be great for me because i have a pretty big dresser, and the dresser and my bed kind of crowd each other in my bedroom now. they are not right up against each other, but it's still hard to walk around the bed as there is little space. in the new bedroom i could easily fit my platform bed, nightstand, dresser and my computer desk, with space to spare (maybe for my bike).

the living room has lighting already installed in the wall so i would not need my lamp or end table that i currently have at my place. i like the lamp, but having less furniture and more open space is so much more appealing to me. lighting is also installed in the bedroom so i could probably also do without my floor lamp. the kitchen is about the same size as mine with enough space to fit my small table and two chairs.the bathroom is bigger than the one i have now too.

 the only bad thing is the small bedroom closet, but since i have been paring down my clothes, it should not be too hard to get creative with storage using my dresser since the drawers are huge. i've eliminated most of what is on the top shelf of my closet so that should help me with storage of shoes/purses etc. the apartment should be ready by the middle of next month. i can't wait for a fresh new start!
