friends who pray for you are the best!

i received this email from a friend who cheered me up and gave me a hug when i really needed one this morning. i'm learning from her more and more that having true friends is really a blessing and a major support.

God created us to be in relationship with Him and each other, so it is our responsibility and privilege to help each other on this journey called life. :)

Father God, in heaven and in our hearts, I pray for Karen this day that you would encourage and rejuvenate her spirit. Stir up her joy in You because the joy of the Lord is our strength. Teach her how to surrender ALL and rest in your presence and power. Help her to stay out of her head and not give into negative emotions, but to instead counter them with the truth of your Word regarding your plan and purpose for her life. Bless her to speak those things that be not as if they were; to call into existence those things she wishes to experience through the power and authority you have given us as children of the Most High God. Hide her beneath the shadow of your wings and restore her confidence and zeal for you that it may be magnified in her. Teach her to trust you and wait on you through this process of healing and wholeness. Protect her mind, body, and spirit from the attacks of the enemy and increase her intimacy with you; in Jesus name, amen.
