just let it flow, let it go

i decided to post this because my neighbors are making a major commotion right now, at 12:34 am so i figure i won't be getting to bed until about 2am when they usually decide it's time to stop. i'm tired of complaining, i complain and complain and nothing happens. i think i really just have to move and that's it. so now the joyful task of finding an apartment, ugh. not looking forward to that.

the big mystery was finally revealed on project runway tonight of why a designer was sent home. i thought it was going to be something super serious and grave by the tone of the preview commercials, like maybe one of the designers would be caught sleeping with one of the judges, or would be found to be in possession of drugs in their atlas apartment or something. but shock of all shocks, a designer, keith, had a pattern making how-to book with him in his apartment. and all fashion how-to books are off limits to the designers while they are participating in the competition. what a bore. i thought it was going to be something way more exciting than that. but i'm glad keith is off the show, i couldn't stand to listen to his nasally droning voice in the interview segments. and he was so full of himself and unpleasant to watch.

i have to say that laura is my idol. she's the designer/architect with the bright red hair and red lipstick who's in her forties but is always so stylishly dressed and glamorous. that's how i want to be in my forties. she's sophisticated and striking and really beautiful in this offbeat way. and she carries herself with such confidence. it seems like she keeps designing the same kind of jacket over and over, but her own personal style is really cool and really different from what you would expect from someone her age. i don't envy her having 5 children, but i am impressed by her ability to look so impeccable despite having 5 children. her total opposite is probably angela, the one all the other designers hate. she's 33 or something and dresses like she's 15, and always has her hair all frizzy and out of control.

the designers this season i think are way more talented and creative than the ones last season so it's really fun to watch. this show is the only reason i haven't cancelled my cable yet.
