i just finished jillian michael's blast fat, boost metabolism dvd and i feel great. definitely had to work up to that one. it's hard! but i took maybe one or two short breaks (for water) and thought i would do much worse. it's 45 minutes of nonstop cardio. i'm still sweating! i'm going to be so sore tomorrow but i'm glad i did it. i know i need to so i can maintain my weight. i used to be able to get down to a certain weight and once the pounds were lost i could go back to eating whatever i wanted. but that's not the case now, not since i hit 30. now it takes more work. those days of eating all i want to and staying thin are gone.
i hate it when i buy too much reading material and don't know what to read first. i bought the may issue of lucky magazine and also an e book (Tao-Te-Ching) by Lao Tzu, which was only $1.99 and i also have the book i bought while in PA on vacation, 'the path of the human being; zen teachings on the bodhisattva way' by Dennis Genpo Merzel. and i'm waiting for a book in the mail which should be here on monday so i can review it for my friend's fashion magazine, which will be coming out at the end of the month. the book is called 'what to wear, where' and i hope it helps me decide what kind of dress i should get for my cousin's upcoming summer wedding.
song of the day, great for exercise! and it also rivals the ultimate in angry songs post i did a while back about nonpoint's 'what a day.' i really like this song 'vulcan'- but then, i was a very angry woman in my early 20s :)
and this song is great for a walking workout, such as mine when i walk around and around a huge track at a park nearby my apartment. this is probably the best pop song ever. really! have a listen
